see see it here in the early morning hours heading in towards the bay area. and then as we get to about, you know, 10:00am that's when we start to see the snow kick up in the sierra and it sticks with them right through the afternoon into the evening and into the first part of sunday. before then that wraps up and it's all said and done. so i just don't advise traveling on saturday. if you can avoid that because it is just going to be a little tricky right with the roads. get slick in the wind gets going. but it's not bad once we get into sunday. but look at the temperature drop there. just like we're seeing a huge drop. they are too. i'll be back in just a little bit. we'll track that rain for us here in the bay area. taking a look at our 7 day forecast. all right. well, the iconic bay bridge lights fully making a comeback. the group eliminate that created the lights was forced to turn them off last year because there just wasn't enough money. but the nonprofit announced it is on track to raise the 11 million dollars needed to turn the lights back on. thanks

we're thinking about here the bay area freeways. and you can see that it is busy all over the place. the busiest commute, i would say, if i had to put me on the spot, is a drive from, let's say, hayward into fremont. we've had a number of crashes there and some people say, okay, i'll take 680. well, 680 had a couple of issues too. so it's been a little bit of a tough grind here on 880 heading south. the south bay commute itself has been pretty typical, which is to say it is slow everywhere getting into that west valley. and that includes 280 san jose heading up west to the west valley. you can see northbound 280, and getting over to the west valley is going to be slow. if you're going to san francisco and you're using the bay bridge, it is backed up all the way out to the maze and the metering lights are on. we're hoping to get improvement sometime next hour. 749 second might. looks like it will rain on saturday. >> if it doesn't, i'm taking a week off because. because everything i'm seeing is showing. i mean, there will be a lot of

there were multiple sideshows around the bay area this past weekend. fortunately for the city of san francisco, we only had one a small, stunt driving event sideshow that happened early in the morning hours of april 14th, when vehicles started to gather in the area of victoria and sergeant street in the taraval. our officers responded very quickly, and the event actually ended, very quickly, i just want to say, you know, about two years ago, we changed our strategies with dealing with these events, and we put together a response plan. it's called our stunt driving response unit, where two lieutenants, now one lieutenant, is assigned to basically rally resources. when we hear that one of these events might be headed our way. thanks to our our collaboration with agencies in the bay area, we usually get noticed when sideshows and stunt driving events are happening. they let us know that they're coming our way. and then we set up, and oftentimes we were waiting in the spots in traditional intersections where these events happen. and that strategy has reall

it included members of the san francisco airport, people who were part of sf travel, the bay area council, the san francisco chamber of commerce. there were so many business leaders and folks who participated in our desire to promote business opportunities, tourism, and of course what everyone is truly excited about, pandas. we were truly successful in our trip. we had numerous meetings with government officials, with airlines and with business leaders. we held a business forum of people who have interest in not only doing business in san francisco, but investing in san francisco. we as i mentioned earlier, signed an agreement to bring pandas to san francisco, and we are aggressively moving towards entering into the appropriate agreements that would allow us to move in that direction. so, what we set out to accomplish on this trip, i think we did that, and of course, there's plenty of other things we need to do. a lot of follow through, a lot of paperwork and we are excited and hopeful what this means for san francisco's future. overall, i think especially with regards to the pandas that
